Desc1 :

Lys20p and Lys21p are two isozymes of yeast homocitrate synthase. Their systematic names YDL182W and YDL131W respectively. Lys20p is of molecular size 47.1kD and Lys21p is 48.6kD; they are ~90% identical at the amino acid level. Detects both proteins as a closely spaced doublet on immunoblots. Both proteins are localized to the nucleoplasm of the nucleus (1). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:1000-1:10,000 Western Blot: For immunoblots of yeast protein samples, use diluted 1:10,000-1:50,000 followed by chemiluminescent detection (ECL). For non-ECL western detection methods, try diluted 1:1000-1:5000. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
