Desc1 :

This gene encodes one of the major intermediate filament proteins of mature astrocytes. It is used as a marker to distinguish astrocytes from other glial cells during development. Mutations in this gene cause Alexander disease, a rare disorder of astrocytes in the central nervous system. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, FLISA. Recommended Dilution: FLISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:100~500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50~100 Immunofluorescence: 1:10~50 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C with glycerol. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Do not freeze APC conjugates. Light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
