EIF4E recognizes and binds the 7-methylguanosine-containing mRNA cap during an early step in the initiation of protein synthesis and facilitates ribosome binding by inducing the unwinding of the mRNAs secondary structures. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:8000 Flow Cytometry: 1:10~50 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
