The B lymphocyte antigen receptor is a multimeric complex that includes the antigen-specific component, surface immunoglobulin (Ig). Surface Ig non-covalently associates with two other proteins, Ig-alpha and Ig-beta, which are necessary for expression and function of the B-cell antigen receptor. This gene encodes the Ig-alpha protein of the B-cell antigen component. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. Applications:. Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA. Recommended Dilution:. ELISA: 1:1000. Western Blot: 1:100~250. Storage and Stability:. May be stored at 4 C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 C with the addition of glycerol. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Do not freeze alkaline phosphatase conjugates which could result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity. Light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
