Proteinase inhibitor 6 (PI-6) is a 42kD cytoplasmic protein belonging to the serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) super family and the ovalbumin-serpin super family. Sequence similarity suggests that PI-6 most resembles the ovalbumin serpins . Highest levels of PI-6 are found in skeletal muscle. PI-6 is also found in placenta, cardiac muscle, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
