CTGF (connective tissue growth factor) is a cysteine-rich, secreted peptide. It is a new member of the peptide family that includes serum-induced immediate early gene products, a v-src-induced peptide, and a putative proto-oncogene. Among the many functions of the CTGF gene family are embryogenesis, wound healing, and regulation of extracellular matrix production. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin): 10-20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
