Desc1 :
Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.Has broad antibacterial activity. May contribute to the formation of the functional antimicrobial barrier of the colonic epithelium, and to the bactericidal activity of amniotic fluid. Applications:. Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution:. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability:. May be stored at 4 C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
