UH15-38 is a potent and selective receptor interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) inhibitor (IC50 = 20 nM). UH15-38 potently and selectively blocks influenza A-induced necroptosis in alveolar epithelial cells in vivo (IC50 = 39.5 nM), and prevents damage from lung inflammation without compromising antiviral adaptive immune responses or impeding viral clearance. Blocks TNF -induced necroptosis in primary murine embryonic fibroblasts (IC50 = 98 nM) and mouse cell lines in vitro .
