Capzimin dimer is a specific inhibitor of proteasome isopeptidase Rpn11 (IC50 = 2.1 M and 3.8 M, in 293T and A549 cell lines, respectively). It exhibits 80-fold selectivity for Rpn11 over Csn5, ten-fold over AMSH and six-fold over BRCC36 (IC50 = 30 M, 4.5 M, and 2.3 M, respectively). Capzimin dimer blocks proliferation of cancer cells.
