XCT 790 is a selective ERR inverse agonist (IC50 = ~400 nM). Displays no antagonist activity at ERR or ER at concentrations below 10 M. Interferes with PPAR coactivator-1 (PGC-1 )/ERR -dependent signaling: inhibits PGC-1 induction of ERR and MAO-B gene expression and downregulates the constitutive transcriptional activity of ERR in numerous cell lines.
