Sertraline also decreases ergosterol biosynthesis and exhibits antifungal activity against Candida auris in vitro . Sertraline acts as an inhibitor of SHMT(serine hydroxymethyltransferase), inhibiting serine/glycine synthesis and proliferation of serine/glycine synthesis-dependent breast cancer cell lines in vitro and in vivo .
