Relaxes contracted rat aortic rings (IC50 = 0.027 mM) and inhibits glucose-induced insulin secretion in isolated human pancreatic -cells in vitro . Produces hypotension in spontaneously hypertensive rats and displays cardioprotective properties in dogs following systemic administration in vivo .
