Product Description :
Talin-1 is a protein encoded by the TLN1 gene which is approximately 269,2 kDa. Talin-1 is localised to the cytoplasm and cell surface. It is involved in RET signalling, integrin alphaIIb beta3 signalling, response to elevated platelet cytosolic Ca2+ and focal adhesion. It plays a significant role in the assembly of actin filaments and in spreading and migration of various cell types, including fibroblasts and osteoclasts. It co-distributes with integrins in the cell surface membrane in order to assist in the attachment of lymphocytes to other cells and attachment of adherent cells to extracellular matrices. Talin-1 is expressed in the blood, nervous system, liver, intestine and skin. Mutations in the TLN1 gene result in ovarian serous carcinoma. STJ97271 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Talin-1 protein.
