A DNA sequence encoding the SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 (YP_009724390.1, with mutations T19R, G142D, E156G, 157-158 deletion, L452R, T478K, D614G, P681R) (Met1-Arg685) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The mutations were identified in the SARS-CoV-2 variant (known as variant B.1.617.2) which emerged in the India.
