Immunogen :
Anti-Phospho-Thr23/25 REDD1 Antibody was produced in rabbits by repeated immunizations with a synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding the phospho-Thr23/25 of human REDD1 conjugated to KLH.
Packing Type :
Wet Ice
Physical State :
Liquid (sterile filtered)
Purity and Specificity :
Anti-REDD1 pT23/pT25 Antibody is directed against REDD1 protein phosphorylated at T23 and T25. The antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phospho peptide coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against non-phospho peptide and non-specific peptide to remove any unwanted reactivities. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum. Minimal reactivity occurs against non-phosphorylated REDD1. Reactivity against REDD1 occurs from human sources. However, reactivity is also expected against non-human primate based on 100% sequence homology.

Target Species :
Human
Background :
REDD1, Regulated in Development and DNA damage responses 1, is induced by hypoxia, cell stress, and apoptosis. Reduced REDD1 levels can sensitize cells towards apoptosis, where elevated levels of REDD1 induced by hypoxia can desensitize cells to apoptotic stimuli. REDD1 has a crucial role in inhibiting mammalian rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) signaling during hypoxic stress. It has been shown that the rapid degradation of REDD1 is mediated by the CUL4A–DDB1–ROC1–b-TRCP E3 ligase complex and is regulated by REDD1 phosphorylation at Thr 25, Thr 23 and Ser 19 through the activity of GSK3b. REDD1 pT23/25 Antibody is ideal for researchers interested in cancer research.
