Purity and Specificity :
Anti-Contactin Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Contactin from Mouse, Human, and Rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Background :
Contactin/F3, a cell adhesion molecule, is a glycosylphospatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein that is expressed in neurons and glia. It has been shown to interact with and enhance surface expression of sodium channels Nav1.2 and Nav1.9. Other studies suggest that contactin coimmunoprecipitates with Nav1.3.
