Biotin-His6-LC3/MAP1LC3A/Apg8p3 can be conjugated to substrate proteins via the subsequent actions of a Apg-activating (E1) enzyme, a Apg-conjugating (E2) enzyme, and a Apg ligase (E3). Biotin-His6-LC3/MAP1LC3A/Apg8p3 is ideal for the visualization or quantification of thioester formation with avidin-linked reagents. Reaction conditions will need to be optimized for each specific application. We recommend an initial Biotin-His6-LC3/MAP1LC3A/Apg8p3 concentration of 1-5 µM.
