The Quantikine« Human Total MMP-8 Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid phase ELISA designed to measure total MMP-8 (pro- and active MMP-8) in cell culture supernates, tissue lysates, serum, plasma, platelet-poor plasma, and saliva. It contains NS0-expressed recombinant human MMP-8, and antibodies raised against the recombinant protein. Natural human MMP-8 showed dose-response curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine« kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for natural human MMP-8.
