Measured by its ability to enhance neurite outgrowth of E18-E20 rat embryonic cortical neurons. Recombinant Human Neuroplastin 65 immobilized at 5-10 µg/mL is able to significantly induce neurite outgrowth. Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of A431 human epithelial carcinoma cells. The ED50 for this effect is 1.1-4.4 µg/mL. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
