Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of CHO Chinese hamster ovary cells transfected with ICAM-1. When 5 x 104 cells/well are added to Integrin alpha L▀2-coated plates (5 ╡g/mL, 100 ╡L/well), 60-80% of the cells will adhere after 1 hour at 37░ C in the presence of 1 mM MnCl2.
