Measured in a cell proliferation assay using human CD3+ T cells in the presence of anti-CD3. Kanner, S.B. et al . (1992) J. Immunol. 148 :2023. The ED50 for this effect is 1-4 ╡g/mL in the presence of anti-CD3 immobilized at 20 ng/mL. For carrier-free vials, the Recombinant Human CD58/LFA-3 (rhCD58) is directly coated to plates. For vials containing carrier, plates are coated with 5 ╡g/mL Mouse Anti-polyHistidine Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB050 ) before rhCD58 is added.
