Product Name :
Rabbit Polyclonal Tankyrase 1 Antibody
List Price :
319.00 USD
Product Type :
Primary Antibodies
Package Size :
0.1 ml
AltNames :
EC 2.4.2.30, PARP-5a, PARP5APARPL, pART5, Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 5A, Tankyrase I, tankyrase, TRF1-interacting ankyrin-related ADP-ribose polymerase, tankyrase-1, TIN1TANK1, TINF1TNKS-1, TNKS1TRF1-interacting ankyrin-related ADP-ribose polymerase
Background :
The ~142 kDa Tankyrase protein is ubiquitously expressed in mammalian cells and is localized to human telomeres. It has homology to ankyrins and to the catalytic domain of poly (adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Tankyrase binds to TRF1 (telomeric repeat binding factor-1), which negatively regulates the maintenance of telomere length.
Buffer :
50mM sodium borate
Clonality :
Polyclonal
Conjugate :
DyLight 550
Application Summary :
Western Blot
Host :
Rabbit
Immunogen :
A synthetic peptide made to a region of human Tankyrase within residues 250-350 [UniProt# O95271]. The actual peptide sequence is proprietary.
Localization :
Cytoplasmic. A minor proportion is also found at nuclear pore complexes and around the pericentriolar matrix of mitotic centromeres. During interphase, a small fraction of Tankyrase is found in the nucleus, associated with TRF1.
Preservative :
No Preservative

Immunogen affinity purified
CrossReactivity :
Human
Storage :
Store at 4C in the dark.
Swissprot Human :
O95271
Uses :
This Tankyrase antibody is useful for Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence and Western blot, where it recognizes an endogenous band at ~150 kDa in whole cell extract and a band at ~180 kDa in baculovirus-derived his-tagged protein.
Research Area :
Apoptosis, Chromatin Research, DNA Repair
