Description :

FABP4 (Fatty acid binding protein 4) is expressed in adipocytes and macrophages, and integrates inflammatory and metabolic responses. FABP4 is thought to regulate fatty acid uptake, release, and storage in adipocytes and participates in systemic glucose homeostasis and in macrophage responses in atherosclerosis. Blocking this protein either through genetic engineering or drugs has the possibility of treating heart disease, diabetes, asthma, obesity, and fatty liver disease.

ICC/IF analysis of FABP4 in HeLa cells. The cell was stained with AFA0920 (1:100). The secondary antibody (green) was used Alexa Fluor 488. DAPI was stained the cell nucleus (blue).

The tissue lysates of mouse heart (40ug) was resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with anti-human FABP4 (1:500). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system. The tissue lysates of mouse adipose (40ug) was resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human FABP4 (1:1000).
