specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse LGR5. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse LGR5 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 31.25 pg/ml -2000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse LGR5 is typically less than 7.81 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for LGR5 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any LGR5 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for LGR5 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LGR5 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a leucine-rich repeat-containing receptor (LGR) and member of the G protein-coupled, 7-transmembrane receptor (GPCR) superfamily. The encoded protein is a receptor for R-spondins and is involved in the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. This protein plays a role in the formation and maintenance of adult intestinal stem cells during postembryonic development. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
uniprot summary :
LGR5: a leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor. Receptor for R-spondins, potent stimulators of adult stem cell proliferation. A marker of cycling, long-lived and multipotent adult stem cell populations. Target gene of Wnt signaling. A Wnt receptor component that enhances Wnt signaling by soluble R-spondin proteins. Intestinal Lgr5+ stem cells give rise throughout life to proliferation of cells in crypts, which migrate along the crypt-villus axis, differentiating into five main cell types. Wnt signaling plays a crucial role in the proliferation and differentiation of these crypt epithelial cells. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR. Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; membrane; integral to plasma membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; trans-Golgi network membrane. Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; signal transducer activity; transmembrane receptor activity; protein-hormone receptor activity. Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; hair follicle development; oocyte differentiation; signal transduction; inner ear development
