specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ATP2A3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ATP2A3 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 25 pg/ml -1600 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human ATP2A3 is typically less than 6.25 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ATP2A3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ATP2A3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ATP2A3 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ATP2A3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes one of the SERCA Ca(2+)-ATPases, which are intracellular pumps located in the sarcoplasmic or endoplasmic reticula of muscle cells. This enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the translocation of calcium from the cytosol to the sarcoplasmic reticulum lumen, and is involved in calcium sequestration associated with muscular excitation and contraction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
ATP2A3: This magnesium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the transport of calcium. Transports calcium ions from the cytosol into the sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum lumen. Contributes to calcium sequestration involved in muscular excitation/contraction. Belongs to the cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) family. Type IIA subfamily. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: EC 3.6.3.8; Endoplasmic reticulum; Hydrolase; Transporter, ion channel; Membrane protein, integral; Transporter; Membrane protein, multi-pass. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p13.3. Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum membrane; nuclear membrane; sarcoplasmic reticulum membrane; sarcoplasmic reticulum; endoplasmic reticulum; integral to membrane. Molecular Function: calcium-transporting ATPase activity; metal ion binding; ATP binding. Biological Process: transport; metabolic process; calcium ion transport; blood coagulation; transmembrane transport
