specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human BRDT. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human BRDT and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 62.5 pg/ml-4000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human BRDT is typically less than 15.6 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for BRDT has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any BRDT present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for BRDT is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of BRDT bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
BRDT is similar to the RING3 protein family. It possesses 2 bromodomain motifs and a PEST sequence (a cluster of proline, glutamic acid, serine, and threonine residues), characteristic of proteins that undergo rapid intracellular degradation. The bromodomain is found in proteins that regulate transcription. Several transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
uniprot summary :
BRDT: an atypical protein kinase of the BRD family. Possesses 2 bromodomain motifs and a PEST sequence (a cluster of proline, glutamic acid, serine, and threonine residues), characteristic of proteins that undergo rapid intracellular degradation. The bromodomain is found in proteins that regulate transcription. A testis-specific protein that is also expressed at a high level in non-small cell lung cancer. Protein type: Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, atypical; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Cancer Testis Antigen (CTA); ATYPICAL group; BRD family. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p22.1. Cellular Component: nucleus. Molecular Function: histone binding; transcription coactivator activity. Biological Process: chromatin remodeling; transcription, DNA-dependent; male meiosis I; regulation of RNA splicing; RNA splicing; spermatogenesis; male meiosis; cell differentiation; mRNA processing; positive regulation of transcription, meiotic
