SEM7A_MOUSE
specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse SEMA7A. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse SEMA7A and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 31.25 pg/ml -2000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse SEMA7A is typically less than 7.81 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for SEMA7A has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any SEMA7A present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for SEMA7A is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SEMA7A bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
SEMA7A: Plays an important role in integrin-mediated signaling and functions both in regulating cell migration and immune responses. Promotes formation of focal adhesion complexes, activation of the protein kinase PTK2/FAK1 and subsequent phosphorylation of MAPK1 and MAPK3. Promotes production of proinflammatory cytokines by monocytes and macrophages. Plays an important role in modulating inflammation and T-cell-mediated immune responses. Promotes axon growth in the embryonic olfactory bulb. Promotes attachment, spreading and dendrite outgrowth in melanocytes. Belongs to the semaphorin family. Protein type: Membrane protein, GPI anchor. Cellular Component: membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane. Molecular Function: integrin binding; receptor activity. Biological Process: osteoblast differentiation; integrin-mediated signaling pathway; nervous system development; axon extension; multicellular organismal development; positive regulation of axon extension; regulation of inflammatory response; olfactory lobe development; positive regulation of protein amino acid phosphorylation; cell differentiation; inflammatory response; neurite development
