specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse EZR. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse EZR and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 62.5 pg/ml -4000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse EZR is typically less than 15.6 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for EZR has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any EZR present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for EZR is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of EZR bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
Ezrin: a member of the ERM family which includes radixin and moesin. ERM proteins appear to function as cross-linkers between plasma membranes and actin-based cytoskeletons. Plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration, and organization. Protein type: Cytoskeletal; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis. Cellular Component: extracellular space; microvillus; basolateral plasma membrane; T-tubule; cytosol; lipid raft; membrane; apical plasma membrane; cytoplasm; nucleolus; intracellular; uropod; vesicle; myelin sheath; filopodium; focal adhesion; actin filament; actin cytoskeleton; ruffle; extrinsic to membrane; cell projection; cytoskeleton; microvillus membrane; apical part of cell; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: actin filament binding; protein domain specific binding; protein binding; cytoskeletal protein binding; protein complex binding; cell adhesion molecule binding; actin binding. Biological Process: actin filament bundle formation; regulation of cell shape; microvillus biogenesis; filopodium formation; receptor internalization; establishment and/or maintenance of apical/basal cell polarity
