other info1 :
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 0.625 ng/ml - 20 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/ml.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated SPAG5 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human SPAG5 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add SPAG5 and SPAG5 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of SPAG5 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a protein associated with the mitotic spindle apparatus. The encoded protein may be involved in the functional and dynamic regulation of mitotic spindles. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
SPAG5: Essential component of the mitotic spindle required for normal chromosome segregation and progression into anaphase. Required for chromosome alignment, normal timing of sister chromatid segregation, and maintenance of spindle pole architecture. The astrin (SPAG5)-kinastrin (SKAP) complex promotes stable microtubule-kinetochore attachments. Protein type: Cell cycle regulation. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q11.2. Cellular Component: kinetochore; nucleoplasm; spindle pole; cytoplasm; microtubule organizing center; midbody; nucleus. Molecular Function: protein binding. Biological Process: regulation of attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochore; mitotic sister chromatid segregation; cell division; spindle organization and biogenesis; chromosome segregation
