Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 31.2pg/ml-1000pg/ml. Sensitivity: 5.0pg/ml.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated PDX1 concentrations in Rat serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Rat PDX1 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add PDX1 and PDX1 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of PDX1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]

uniprot summary :
PDX1: Activates insulin, somatostatin, glucokinase, islet amyloid polypeptide and glucose transporter type 2 gene transcription. Particularly involved in glucose-dependent regulation of insulin gene transcription. Binds preferentially the DNA motif 5 -[CT]TAAT[TG]-3 . During development, specifies the early pancreatic epithelium, permitting its proliferation, branching and subsequent differentiation. At adult stage, required for maintaining the hormone-producing phenotype of the beta-cell. Interacts with the basic helix-loop-helix domains of TCF3(E47) and NEUROD1 and with HMG-I(Y). Interacts with SPOP. Interacts with the methyltransferase SETD7. Duodenum and pancreas (Langerhans islet beta cells and small subsets of endocrine non-beta-cells, at low levels in acinar cells). Belongs to the Antp homeobox family. IPF1/XlHbox-8 subfamily. Protein type: DNA-binding; Transcription factor. Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nuclear speck; intracellular; cytosol; nucleus. Molecular Function: RNA polymerase II transcription factor activity, enhancer binding; protein binding; DNA binding; protein heterodimerization activity; sequence-specific DNA binding; protein complex binding; chromatin binding; transcription factor binding; transcription factor activity. Biological Process: response to alkaloid; response to nicotine; transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; central nervous system development; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; response to glucocorticoid stimulus; exocrine pancreas development; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; glucose homeostasis; response to lipid; response to organic cyclic substance; response to chlorate; response to vitamin; negative regulation of cell proliferation; detection of glucose; morphogenesis of embryonic epithelium; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; pancreas development; positive regulation of cell proliferation; response to wounding; response to glucose stimulus; response to iron(II) ion; cell differentiation; positive regulation of DNA binding; response to drug; response to nutrient levels; organ regeneration; smoothened signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; organ senescence; positive regulation of insulin secretion; glucose metabolic process; stem cell differentiation; liver development; endocrine pancreas development; regulation of cell proliferation; regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; response to leucine; gut development; insulin secretion; response to cytokine stimulus; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; nitric oxide mediated signal transduction
