Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV% is less than 8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV% is less than 10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess. Detection Wavelength: 450 nm. Sample Volume: 50-100ul. Protein Biological Process 1: Biosynthesis/Metabolism. Protein Biological Process 2: Lipogenesis and lipometabolism. Protein Biological Process 3: Lipid degradation
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CELA2A has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for CELA2A. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CELA2A bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
CEL: Catalyzes fat and vitamin absorption. Acts in concert with pancreatic lipase and colipase for the complete digestion of dietary triglycerides. Defects in CEL are a cause of maturity-onset diabetes of the young type 8 with exocrine dysfunction (MODY8); also known as diabetes and pancreatic exocrine dysfunction (DPED). MODY is a form of diabetes that is characterized by an autosomal dominant mode of inheritance, onset in childhood or early adulthood (usually before 25 years of age), a primary defect in insulin secretion and frequent insulin-independence at the beginning of the disease. Belongs to the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: EC 3.1.1.13; Lipase; Lipid Metabolism - steroid biosynthesis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Lipid Metabolism - glycerolipid; EC 3.1.1.3. Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; extracellular space; protein complex; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; rough endoplasmic reticulum; cytoplasm; extracellular region; cytosol; lipid raft. Molecular Function: retinyl-palmitate esterase activity; sterol esterase activity; triacylglycerol lipase activity; hydrolase activity; protein complex binding; glycosphingolipid binding; lysophospholipase activity. Biological Process: retinol metabolic process; ceramide catabolic process; lipid metabolic process; cholesterol catabolic process; pancreatic juice secretion; lipid catabolic process
