other info1 :
Samples: Serum, Urine, Tissue Homogenates. Assay Type: Quantitative Sandwich. Detection Range: 0.312 ng/ml-20 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 0.043 ng/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for Kim-1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Kim-1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for Kim-1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Kim-1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
Kruppel-like factors (KLFs) are a family of broadly expressed zinc finger transcription factors. KLF2 regulates T-cell trafficking by promoting expression of the lipid-binding receptor S1P1 (S1PR1; MIM 601974) and the selectin CD62L (SELL; MIM 153240) (summary by Weinreich et al., 2009 [PubMed 19592277]).[supplied by OMIM, Feb 2011]
uniprot summary :
KLF2: Binds to the CACCC box in the beta-globin gene promoter and activates transcription. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Protein type: DNA-binding; C2H2-type zinc finger protein. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.11. Cellular Component: nucleus. Molecular Function: protein binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; metal ion binding; transcription factor activity. Biological Process: erythrocyte maturation; transcription, DNA-dependent; in utero embryonic development; multicellular organism growth; negative regulation of interleukin-6 production; cell morphogenesis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of protein metabolic process; regulation of gene expression, epigenetic
