other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, urine, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 4 mIU/ml -12 0 mIU/ml. Sensitivity: 1 mIU/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CGA has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for CGA. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CGA bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The four human glycoprotein hormones chorionic gonadotropin (CG), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are dimers consisting of alpha and beta subunits that are associated noncovalently. The alpha subunits of these hormones are identical, however, their beta chains are unique and confer biological specificity. The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha subunit and belongs to the glycoprotein hormones alpha chain family. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]
