other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for NOX1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any NOX1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for NOX1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of NOX1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
NOX1: NOH-1S is a voltage-gated proton channel that mediates the H(+) currents of resting phagocytes and other tissues. It participates in the regulation of cellular pH and is blocked by zinc. NOH-1L is a pyridine nucleotide-dependent oxidoreductase that generates superoxide and might conduct H(+) ions as part of its electron transport mechanism, whereas NOH-1S does not contain an electron transport chain. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; EC 1.-.-.-; Oxidoreductase; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Channel, misc.; Membrane protein, integral. Cellular Component: early endosome; cytoplasm; cell junction; endosome; NADPH oxidase complex. Molecular Function: protein binding; metal ion binding; superoxide-generating NADPH oxidase activity; Rac GTPase binding; voltage-gated proton channel activity. Biological Process: intracellular pH elevation; cell migration; extracellular matrix organization and biogenesis; positive regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation; superoxide metabolic process; positive regulation of JNK cascade; signal transduction; regulation of systemic arterial blood pressure by renin-angiotensin; response to reactive oxygen species; proton transport; positive regulation of MAPKKK cascade; positive regulation of cell proliferation; hydrogen peroxide metabolic process; angiogenesis; positive regulation of integrin biosynthetic process; superoxide release
