Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 0.156 ng/ml -10 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 0.039 ng/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for PDGF-DD has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PDGF-DD present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PDGF-DD is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PDGF-DD bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
PDGFD: Growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. Potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin. Plays an important role in wound healing. Induces macrophage recruitment, increased interstitial pressure, and blood vessel maturation during angiogenesis. Can initiate events that lead to a mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis, including influx of monocytes and macrophages and production of extracellular matrix. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Oncoprotein. Cellular Component: extracellular space; membrane; extracellular region. Molecular Function: growth factor activity; platelet-derived growth factor receptor binding. Biological Process: multicellular organismal development; positive regulation of cell division; platelet-derived growth factor receptor signaling pathway; cellular process; regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation
