Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ROBO1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ROBO1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ROBO1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ROBO1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
Bilateral symmetric nervous systems have special midline structures that establish a partition between the two mirror image halves. Some axons project toward and across the midline in response to long-range chemoattractants emanating from the midline. The product of this gene is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily and encodes an integral membrane protein that functions in axon guidance and neuronal precursor cell migration. This receptor is activated by SLIT-family proteins, resulting in a repulsive effect on glioma cell guidance in the developing brain. A related gene is located at an adjacent region on chromosome 3. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
uniprot summary :
ROBO1: Receptor for SLIT1 and SLIT2 which are thought to act as molecular guidance cue in cellular migration, including axonal navigation at the ventral midline of the neural tube and projection of axons to different regions during neuronal development. In axon growth cones, the silencing of the attractive effect of NTN1 by SLIT2 may require the formation of a ROBO1-DCC complex. May be required for lung development. Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. ROBO family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p12. Cellular Component: cell surface; integral to plasma membrane; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; axolemma. Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein binding; axon guidance receptor activity; LRR domain binding. Biological Process: caspase activation; nervous system development; axon guidance; negative regulation of negative chemotaxis; cell migration during sprouting angiogenesis; chemorepulsion involved in postnatal olfactory bulb interneuron migration; positive regulation of axonogenesis; cell adhesion; homophilic cell adhesion; axon midline choice point recognition; negative regulation of mammary gland epithelial cell proliferation
