specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human EDIL3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human EDIL3 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 125 pg/ml -8000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human EDIL3 is typically less than 31.25 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for EDIL3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any EDIL3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for EDIL3 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of EDIL3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is an integrin ligand. It plays an important role in mediating angiogenesis and may be important in vessel wall remodeling and development. It also influences endothelial cell behavior. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
EDIL3: Promotes adhesion of endothelial cells through interaction with the alpha-v/beta-3 integrin receptor. Inhibits formation of vascular-like structures. May be involved in regulation of vascular morphogenesis of remodeling in embryonic development. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Cell adhesion. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q14. Cellular Component: vesicle. Molecular Function: integrin binding; calcium ion binding. Biological Process: multicellular organismal development; cell adhesion
