specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse CD55. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse CD55 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 0. 312 ng/ml -20 ng/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse CD55 is typically less than 0.078 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Priciple of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CD55 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CD55 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CD55 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CD55 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
CD55: This protein recognizes C4b and C3b fragments that condense with cell-surface hydroxyl or amino groups when nascent C4b and C3b are locally generated during C4 and c3 activation. Interaction of daf with cell-associated C4b and C3b polypeptides interferes with their ability to catalyze the conversion of C2 and factor B to enzymatically active C2a and Bb and thereby prevents the formation of C4b2a and C3bBb, the amplification convertases of the complement cascade. Belongs to the receptors of complement activation (RCA) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Cell surface; Membrane protein, GPI anchor. Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; apical plasma membrane; plasma membrane; lipid raft; external side of plasma membrane. Molecular Function: enzyme inhibitor activity; viral receptor activity; lipid binding. Biological Process: immune system process; response to virus; negative regulation of catalytic activity; regulation of complement activation, classical pathway; innate immune response; complement activation, classical pathway
