other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich (Quantitative). Detection Range: 31.25 pg/ml-2000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: 7.8 pg/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TYR has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TYR present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TYR is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TYR bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
TYR: This is a copper-containing oxidase that functions in the formation of pigments such as melanins and other polyphenolic compounds. Catalyzes the rate-limiting conversions of tyrosine to DOPA, DOPA to DOPA-quinone and possibly 5,6-dihydroxyindole to indole-5,6 quinone. Increased expression after UVB irradiation. Belongs to the tyrosinase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Oxidoreductase; EC 1.14.18.1; Cofactor and Vitamin Metabolism - riboflavin; Amino Acid Metabolism - tyrosine. Cellular Component: membrane; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; cytoplasm; integral to membrane; melanosome; cytosol; nucleus. Molecular Function: protein binding; copper ion binding; protein homodimerization activity; protein heterodimerization activity; metal ion binding; oxidoreductase activity; monooxygenase activity; monophenol monooxygenase activity. Biological Process: melanin biosynthetic process; cell proliferation; thymus development; pigmentation; metabolic process
