Samples: Breast milk. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 37.5 ?g/ml -600 ?g/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of rat CSN2 is typically less than 18.75 ?g/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest rat CSN2 concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.

Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Priciple of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with antibody specific for CSN2 and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated goat-anti-rabbit antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated CSN2 and CSN2 in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of CSN2 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
