specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse ANGPTL4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse ANGPTL4 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 3.125 pg/ml -200 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse ANGPTL4 is typically less than 0.781 pg/ml.The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with ANGPTL4. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody preparation specific for ANGPTL4. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated ANGPTL4 and ANGPTL4 in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of ANGPTL4 in the samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
ANGPTL4: Protein with hypoxia-induced expression in endothelial cells. May act as a regulator of angiogenesis and modulate tumorigenesis. Inhibits proliferation, migration, and tubule formation of endothelial cells and reduces vascular leakage. May exert a protective function on endothelial cells through an endocrine action. It is directly involved in regulating glucose homeostasis, lipid metabolism, and insulin sensitivity. In response to hypoxia, the unprocessed form of the protein accumulates in the subendothelial extracellular matrix (ECM). The matrix-associated and immobilized unprocessed form limits the formation of actin stress fibers and focal contacts in the adhering endothelial cells and inhibits their adhesion. It also decreases motility of endothelial cells and inhibits the sprouting and tube formation. Protein type: Secreted; Apoptosis; Extracellular matrix; Inhibitor; Secreted, signal peptide. Cellular Component: proteinaceous extracellular matrix; extracellular space; extracellular region. Molecular Function: enzyme inhibitor activity. Biological Process: positive regulation of lipid metabolic process; negative regulation of lipoprotein lipase activity; angiogenesis; cellular response to starvation; protein homooligomerization; negative regulation of apoptosis
