products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for GUCY1A3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any GUCY1A3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for GUCY1A3 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of GUCY1A3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
Soluble guanylate cyclases are heterodimeric proteins that catalyze the conversion of GTP to 3',5'-cyclic GMP and pyrophosphate. The protein encoded by this gene is an alpha subunit of this complex and it interacts with a beta subunit to form the guanylate cyclase enzyme, which is activated by nitric oxide. Several transcript variants encoding a few different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
