Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 23.44 pg/ml-1500 pg/ml. Sensitivity: Typically less than 5.86 pg/ml
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for LYPLA1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any LYPLA1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for LYPLA1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LYPLA1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the alpha/beta hydrolase superfamily. The encoded protein functions as a homodimer, exhibiting both depalmitoylating as well as lysophospholipase activity, and may be involved in Ras localization and signaling. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene have been defined on chromosomes 4, 6, and 7. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
uniprot summary :
LYPLA1: Hydrolyzes fatty acids from S-acylated cysteine residues in proteins such as trimeric G alpha proteins or HRAS. Has depalmitoylating activity and also low lysophospholipase activity. Belongs to the AB hydrolase 2 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Phospholipase; Lipid Metabolism - glycerophospholipid; EC 3.1.2.-. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q11.23. Cellular Component: mitochondrion; cytosol. Molecular Function: palmitoyl-(protein) hydrolase activity; lysophospholipase activity. Biological Process: negative regulation of Golgi to plasma membrane protein transport; regulation of nitric-oxide synthase activity; fatty acid metabolic process; nitric oxide metabolic process; protein depalmitoylation
