other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 3.12 pg/ml-200 pg/ml. Sensitivity: 1.56 pg/ml
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV% is less than 8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV% is less than 10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess. Detection Wavelength: 450 nm. Sample Volume: 50-100ul
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with GAS6. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody preparation specific for GAS6. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated GAS6 and GAS6 in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of GAS6 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a gamma-carboxyglutamic acid (Gla)-containing protein thought to be involved in the stimulation of cell proliferation. This gene is frequently overexpressed in many cancers and has been implicated as an adverse prognostic marker. Elevated protein levels are additionally associated with a variety of disease states, including venous thromboembolic disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, chronic renal failure, and preeclampsia. uniprot summary :
GAS6: Ligand for tyrosine-protein kinase receptors AXL, TYRO3 and MER whose signaling is implicated in cell growth and survival, cell adhesion and cell migration. GAS6/AXL signaling plays a role in various processes such as endothelial cell survival during acidification by preventing apoptosis, optimal cytokine signaling during human natural killer cell development, hepatic regeneration, gonadotropin-releasing hormone neuron survival and migration, platelet activation, or regulation of thrombotic responses. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Ligand, receptor tyrosine kinase; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q34. Cellular Component: extracellular space; Golgi lumen; endoplasmic reticulum lumen; cytoplasm; extracellular region. Molecular Function: voltage-gated calcium channel activity; protein binding; phosphatidylserine binding; caspase inhibitor activity; protein tyrosine kinase activator activity; calcium ion binding; receptor tyrosine kinase binding; receptor agonist activity; molecular adaptor activity; receptor binding.
