other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for OGG1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any OGG1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for OGG1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of OGG1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
OGG1: DNA repair enzyme that incises DNA at 8-oxoG residues. Excises 7,8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine and 2,6-diamino-4-hydroxy-5-N- methylformamidopyrimidine (FAPY) from damaged DNA. Has a beta- lyase activity that nicks DNA 3 to the lesion. Defects in OGG1 may be a cause of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). It is a heterogeneous group of sporadic or hereditary carcinoma derived from cells of the proximal renal tubular epithelium. It is subclassified into clear cell renal carcinoma (non-papillary carcinoma), papillary renal cell carcinoma, chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, collecting duct carcinoma with medullary carcinoma of the kidney, and unclassified renal cell carcinoma. Belongs to the type-1 OGG1 family. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: DNA repair, damage; Deoxyribonuclease; Lyase; EC 4.2.99.18. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; protein complex; nuclear matrix; mitochondrion; nuclear speck; nucleus. Molecular Function: single-strand selective uracil DNA N-glycosylase activity; uracil DNA N-glycosylase activity; DNA-(apurinic or apyrimidinic site) lyase activity; hydrolase activity; microtubule binding; DNA N-glycosylase activity; hydrolase activity, acting on glycosyl bonds; lyase activity; purine-specific mismatch base pair DNA N-glycosylase activity; DNA-3-methyladenine glycosylase III activity; DNA binding; oxidized purine base lesion DNA N-glycosylase activity; damaged DNA binding; oxidized base lesion DNA N-glycosylase activity; catalytic activity; 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine DNA N-glycosylase activity.
