This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human NME1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human NME1 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 18.75 pg/ml -1200 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human NME1 is typically less than 4.68 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for NME1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any NME1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for NME1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of NME1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
This gene (NME1) was identified because of its reduced mRNA transcript levels in highly metastatic cells. Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDK) exists as a hexamer composed of 'A' (encoded by this gene) and 'B' (encoded by NME2) isoforms. Mutations in this gene have been identified in aggressive neuroblastomas. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Co-transcription of this gene and the neighboring downstream gene (NME2) generates naturally-occurring transcripts (NME1-NME2), which encodes a fusion protein comprised of sequence sharing identity with each individual gene product. uniprot summary :
NME1: an enzyme with multiple activities including histidine protein kinase, nucleoside-diphosphate kinase, serine/threonine-specific protein kinase, geranyl and farnesyl pyrophosphate kinase and 3 -5 exonuclease activities. Plays a major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. The ATP gamma phosphate is transferred to the NDP beta phosphate via a ping-pong mechanism, using a phosphorylated active-site intermediate. Involved in cell proliferation, differentiation and development, G protein-coupled receptor endocytosis, cytotoxic T cell and NK cell-mediated cell death, and gene expression. Required for neural development including neural patterning and cell fate determination. During granzyme A (GZMA)-mediated cell death, works in concert with TREX1. NME1 nicks one strand of DNA and TREX1 removes bases from the free 3 end to enhance DNA damage and prevent DNA end reannealing and rapid repair. Three alternatively spliced human proteins have been reported.
