specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human RNASE8. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human RNASE8 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 1 ng/ml -30 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 0.25 ng /ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for RNASE8 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for RNASE8. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of RNASE8 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the pancreatic ribonuclease family, a subset of the ribonuclease A superfamily. The protein is expressed prominently in the placenta and exhibits antimicrobial activity against pathogenic bacteria and fungi. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]
