catalog number :
MBS850041
products full name :
CA15-3 Antibody-Biotin
products short name :
CA15-3
products gene name :
CA15-3
specificity :
Specific for the tandem repeat of the MUC-1 core. Recognizes the hexapeptide (TRPAPG). The MUC-1 mucin (Cancer Antigen CA15-3) is secreted from tumor cells. The apo-protein of the MUC-1 mucin contains a transmembrane domain, a cytoplasmic domain, and an extracellular carbohydrate rich domain. The extracellular domain is characterized by polymorphism with respect to the number of a 20 amino acid tandem repeat (VNTR polymorphism).
purity :
>98% pure. Protein A chromatography
form :
MAb to Carbohydrate Antigen CA15-3-BIOTIN in 150mM NaCl 10mM Tris pH7.4
concentration :
100ug/100ul
storage stability :
Short-term store at 2-8 degree C. Long term store at -20 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
tested application :
ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), ICH, Western Blot (WB)
app notes :
Capture or detection antibody in serological assays for the research of antigen MUC-1. Forms a suitable pair withX108. Immunohistochemistry on frozen or paraffin sections for the detection of MUC-1. Immunochemical detection of MUC-1 protein. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
