specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of PRKAA2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between PRKAA2 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Store at 4 degree C if kit is to be used within 1 week. Stable for 6 months (if micro ELISA Plate, Lyophilized Standard and Concentrated Biotinylated Detection Protein stored at-20 degree C. Other components at 2-8 degree C). Stable for 12 months (if the entire kit is stored at-20 degree C).

other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level PRKAA2were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<8%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level PRKAA2were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV (%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<10%
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-PRKAA2antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-PRKAA2 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the PRKAA2 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of PRKAA2 can be calculated.

active catalytic subunit of protein kinase A; phosphorylates and activates transcription factors in response to elevated levels of cAMP; mediates phosphorylation and regulation of enzyme substrates involved in intermediary metabolism [RGD, Feb 2006]
uniprot summary :
PKACA: catalytic subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase alpha, an AGC kinase. A number of inactive tetrameric holoenzymes are produced by the combination of homo- or heterodimers of the different regulatory subunits associated with two catalytic subunits. cAMP causes the dissociation of the inactive holoenzyme into a dimer of regulatory subunits bound to four cAMP and two free monomeric catalytic subunits. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described. Protein type: Protein kinase, AGC; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Kinase, protein; EC 2.7.11.11; AGC group; PKA family. Cellular Component: AMP-activated protein kinase complex; cAMP-dependent protein kinase complex; centrosome; cytoplasm; cytosol; Golgi apparatus; membrane; mitochondrion; neuromuscular junction; neuron projection; nucleoplasm; nucleus; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; plasma membrane; protein complex. Molecular Function: ATP binding; cAMP-dependent protein kinase activity; protein binding; protein complex binding; protein kinase activity; protein kinase binding; protein serine/threonine kinase activity; protein serine/threonine/tyrosine kinase activity; Rab GTPase binding; ubiquitin protein ligase binding.
