other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level MUP20 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<8%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level MUP20 were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV (%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<10%
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on Competitive-ELISA detection method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with MUP20. During the reaction, MUP20 in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of MUP20 on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Antibody specific to MUP20. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of MUP20 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O D of the samples to the standard curve.

uniprot summary :
Mup20: Male pheromone which stimulates female sexual attraction to male urinary scent and promotes a strong learned attraction to the airborne urinary odor of an individual male. Promotes male agressive behavior. Binds most of the male pheromone, 2-sec-butyl- 4,5-dihydrothiazole, in urine. Belongs to the calycin superfamily. Lipocalin family. Cellular Component: extracellular region. Molecular Function: mating pheromone activity; pheromone activity; pheromone binding; transporter activity. Biological Process: olfactory learning; transport
